CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY :: HANDMADE IN SCOTLAND

Eloise Kerr is an award-winning contemporary artist and jewellery maker based in Stirling, Scotland. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery and also completed a diploma in Contemporary Art Practice in 2015. Eloise designs and makes all of her jewellery collections herself from her studio workshop. In what has been described as a 'primitive-meets-modern' style, Eloise aims to retain the essence of the handmade in each piece of jewellery. Sculptural forms, irregular facets and textured surfaces feature in her work, which are created mainly with the use of hand tools and traditional metalsmithing techniques. Only the finest materials are used and each piece is made to last.

Eco-friendly Practice

Ethically sourced materials and eco-friendly processes are integral to Eloise’s practice. She works with certified 100% recycled precious metals and is registered with the Goldsmith's fairtrade certified gold scheme. Gemstones are sourced from carefully selected suppliers who promote transparency, traceability and ethical practices; from the sourcing and mining of gemstones through to cutting and polishing. You can read more about how Eloise works to make her practice as eco-friendly as possible in the Ethics section.

Workshops

Eloise also offers beginner and intermediate classes at her workshop for small groups of up to four people. During the informal classes you can learn all about the basics of working with silver and you will take away your very own piece of silver jewellery at the end. Whether you are interested in a one-off experience, taking up a new hobby or looking to progress and become a jeweller yourself, the learning process is very flexible and tailored to suit your needs. You can book classes directly through the website here.
