Share a very special learning experience and make your own wedding rings during a private wedding ring workshop. You will receive expert tuition and guidance throughout, ensuring your ring is formed and finished to a high standard.

You can choose to make your own ring or you can make a ring for one another; making the exchange of rings on your big day even more meaningful. Either way, your rings will have a lovely story behind them - making these future heirlooms all the more sentimental!

You will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly on arrival and receive a short introduction about the process of making rings. You will learn a bit about the tools of the trade and find out the different methods and techniques involved in the making of a wedding ring.

Your finished rings will then be sent off to Edinburgh Assay Office, where the precious metal will be checked and hallmarked for authentication. Your finished rings will arrive the following week, complete with eco-friendly ring box and ribbon.

Your booking will include an initial meeting for a fitting. We will discuss the style of ring you would like to make and your materials will be ready for you on the day. There will be samples of styles for you to choose from and you can opt for sterling silver, 9k gold or 18k gold. Your choice of finish can be decided on the day of the workshop: smooth, textured, shiny, matte - it's up to you!

The standard price of the workshop, excluding precious metals, is £195 for two people. This includes the preliminary fitting appointment, use of all tools, hallmarking, refreshments on the day and an eco-friendly ring box. Your bespoke quote for materials will be calculated after your fitting, please see below for an idea of pricing.

Availability for this workshop varies, depending on the time of year, so it is recommended that you get in touch to arrange your wedding ring workshop with plenty of time before your big day.

You can secure your place by selecting the deposit option in the drop down menu below, with the remainder payable along with the material costs.

Additional material costs for the precious metals are indicated below, these are for two people and are based on average ring sizes. If you would like a quote before booking, simply get in touch with your ring sizes and choice of material.

Conscious of the social and environmental impact of working with precious metals and gemstones, I work to minimise the impact of my jewellery practice and I source eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible. The precious metals used here in the workshop are 'Ecosilver' and 'Ecogold'. These are certified 100% recycled and traceable, meaning the precious metal is exactly the same as normal but no new gold or silver has been mined.

The use of Fair Trade and recycled precious metals is becoming more common and many couples are choosing one of these ethical options for their wedding rings. You can read more about the materials I use in the ETHICS section of the website.

Please let me know if you would specifically like to use Fair Trade gold.
